ABOUT THE PROJECT
We crafted a modern, concise interior for the Institute for Cognitive Modeling (ICM), embodying Scandinavian simplicity, functionality, and natural elements to create a comfortable workspace. The tranquil and inviting atmosphere encourages productivity and fosters comfortable client interactions.
CLIENT
The Institute is engaged in social communications research. It also offers individual therapy sessions and hosts author's lectures. The key objective of the design project was to create a warm, inviting interior that allows clients to feel comfortable during their therapy sessions.
RESULT
Post-quarantine, we transformed the area into an office with separate, intimate rooms for workspaces. The 212 sq.m. space accommodates a flexible lecture zone, reception, inviting living room, practical kitchenette, coffee point, and five offices. Each office carries the same design ethos but with its unique touch. The decor extensively uses natural materials and ergonomic furniture, underlining the project's practicality and adaptability. The mix of shapes and textures brings diversity to the neutral office design. The interior color scheme minimizes distractions and creates a welcoming ambiance. Light colors dominate, complemented by colorful accents for added dynamism.
We paid particular attention to zoning specific areas. Wood-lined wall niches infuse the rooms with soft light, conducive to effective work. Minimalistic decorative elements enhance the elegance and continuity of the interior. Katerina Churina's furniture atelier custom-made all the modular furniture and wood-like wall cladding. Churina Design not only created a comfortable and aesthetic interior but an office space that encourages high productivity. The project was impressively completed in a brief span of 52 days, covering redressing, design project development, and decoration stages.
