ABOUT THE PROJECT
As an interior designer, I believe design should meet society's evolving needs. Today, interior spaces must go beyond comfort and functionality. They should foster a specific atmosphere, inspire emotions, be versatile, and uphold sustainability principles. Guided by these values, I designed the TABOORET office for my team. Located in Kyiv's modern center, the office doubles as a showroom for my Kitchen Atelier Supreta.
CLIENT
Our team invested heart and soul into creating an office intended to serve us for many years. However, due to Russia's unexpected incursion into Ukraine and the resulting conflict, we had to vacate our beloved office sooner than anticipated. Despite our departure, it was crucial to pay tribute to this significant chapter of my TABOORET Development studio. I choose to remember it as a hub for dynamic brainstorming, festive holidays, and relentless work. Consequently, the studio has transitioned into a new identity - Churina Design.
RESULT
Inspired by Danish houses' style, I aimed to design an office that was both raw and elegant, marrying homeliness with modern technology. Each zone within the office serves multiple functions. Visitors are first greeted by a furniture showroom featuring a black kitchen and a natural marble island. This area serves as a planning space during weekdays, transforming into a reception area for guests and official events on special occasions. A large wooden table at the room's rear doubles as a team dining area and a spot for project presentations and intimate meetings.
The director's office, besides its primary function, can also be used as a meeting room or a children's room. The interior's calming light shades, enhanced by the natural sunlight, create a tranquil atmosphere. The mix of raw and smooth textures, paired with elegant decor, adds a playful touch to the interior, promoting creativity. This ambiance inspires my colleagues and me to devise new design projects filled with significance and care.
